Important information about taking the Blackboard electronic quizzes.
You must finish the entire quiz before you log off or your Internet provider cuts you off. You cannot use any of your browser buttons, except for the buttons within the quiz. If you use any browser buttons or try to log off, your quiz will be processed by the system as finished and then there's no going back. You can not get your copy of the quiz back, either. If you email me, I can reset the quiz and you can take it again, but that takes some time. There is a reason we cannot fix this. The same program that we use for quizzes is used by others in the system for major tests, so it is a secure system.
I will give you the text of the quiz someplace other than the electronic quiz, so you can work out the answers before you start the electronic quiz. All my quizzes are "open book."
1. You can use the minimize and "restore down" buttons on
your Windows (your browser is a program running in Windows, the quiz is a glorified
web page sent to your browser), so you can do the quiz on some other sheet,
then restore down that sheet.
2. Go and take the "real" quiz on Blackboard. You can use the minimize
button in WINDOWS, usually the far upper right of you screen, then activate
your sheet where you wrote your answers.
3. I will set the quiz up so you will see if your answers are wrong.
